Web from a RPG Perspective

 
 

Join us for the second in the series of 3 classes learning how to use HTTP, JavaScript, IFS and RPG together.

 

Throstur Gudmundsson presented the first session in July and continues with class 2 of 3 in August. Classes designed to teach you how to use HTTP, JavaScript, IFS and RPG to design and develop web based program on your IBM i.

 

Throstur will present Connecting RPG with the Web using HTTP-Apache, and Ajax Techniques at AMCU’s lunch session in August.

 

Collectively the sessions will cover the whole lifecycle of the development process. Each session will be independent so participant will benefit, even though they may not be able to attend all three sessions. At the end of each session participants will get the session handouts as well as executable code of the material.

 

All tools used by Throstur do not require billable license fees.  Throstur makes use of existing licenses available on your IBM i, such as CGIDEV2 and the Apache web server. All HTTP development will use WDSc or RDi (other tools can be used). These tools will need the operating system to be at V5R3 or later.

The cost will be $20 per person for AMCU members, and $30 per person for non-members.  The cost includes coffee and lunch.
